Haiku Flower Notebook

Haiku Flower Notebook by Lech Rowinski from

designer's own words:

The Haiku Flower Notebook is a small book made of thin high-quality paper. It consists of 142 pages. Each page bears a delicate, linear drawing. The first one depicts a flower seed, which then - across the next 141 pages - evolves into a flower. The flower grows, blooms and eventually dies quietly, slowly. Leaving a seed behind, so the process can start all over again. In a way this notebook is an analogue movie player... You can watch the symbolically drawn life of a flower by flipping pages. The faster you do it, the faster the flower lives it's life. But the notebook is also a reference to Matsuyama's haiku tradition. Each page is a certain moment in time. Each page can be filled with a poem... Flower, paper, words. An exercise of slowing down, despite everything.
