designer's own words:

This pattern represents a novel concept for a new tie style. The modular use of “half H”, never proposed in others Hermès ties, composes a fluid and harmonic texture. The logo of the brand is recognisable and creates the new pattern.
The choice of the colours is very important; the contrast gives to the pattern a feeling of depth and makes clear the reading of symmetrical half H.
