designer's own words:
the appearance of the door handle "icon" accents its basic functions.
1. the expanded area to push down the handle
2. the aperture at which the door handle rotates
by the small displacement of apertures, a form-closed and comosed view results.
by playing with basic shapes and abandoning decoration of any kind the shape explicitly states that it is made for use.
By die casting stainless steel or brass a fast and competitive production is ensured.
