Kimono Streetwear

Kimono Streetwear by Kasia Mochi from japan

designer's own words:

This project is about recycling used kimonos into simple, everyday garments. The basic idea is bringing back to life used but still beautiful vintage kimono fabrics available in Japanese second hand shops. Those fabrics are 100% silk, hand painted or embroidered. The second main goal of this project is to make comfortable, simple street clothes for everyday use. Combining the intricate beauty of vintage kimono fabric and plain utilitarian simplicity of street wear could bring back a part of the tradition to the modern city streets.
This project is a collection of very simple and casual clothes: t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, shorts and comfy trousers, skirts and simple dresses. Unisex wear, big and small sizes.
