designer's own words:

The kitchen is no longer confined to one room, it is again part of the house as a whole.

Cooking is a DIY (Do It Yourself) which some people take more seriously than others. The ‘DIY kitchen’ is a toolbox that isn’t used continuously, but proves its full potential now and then, when it’s activated by its user.

The ‘kitchen’ should be regarded as a set of cooking functionalities that can be used when and wherever needed. Kitchen appliances should not be hidden any longer and should show their function when activated.

Cooking should be fun, but not just when you’re with others. Still sometimes you don’t have the time for some serious cooking. In that case the ‘kitchen’ helps you along. But when you’re really into some freestyle cooking you can be a DJ in your ‘kitchen’ and make the best dishes with the best tools.

:: KITCHEN TOOLBOX ::
The kitchen toolbox can be configured in different ways. When you want to create your own place, a chef’s kitchen, you can place the trolleys around you. When you want your friends to help you or when you’re cooking at the table, you just move the trolleys, the fan and the dinner table and you’re ready to go!
People usually eat in front of the tv when they’re alone. So why not have the tool that prepares your food for those moments there too. In this setting the halogen/microwave oven is placed under the tv. When together with friends, you can sit in the livingroom, while now and then checking to see if that ovendish is going OK. And don’t forget making some microwave popcorn for that late night movie! Or what about refrigerated cubes, straight out of your fridge, to take outside and keep your drinks cool when you are having a BBQ.
