moddable easy to (re)assemble corner desk by vassili rabets from canada

designer's own words:

A kid can modify this desk as his mood changes.

The desk is easily assembled and reassembled with no tools. Its desktop can be installed in 3 orientations - as a diagonal desk or as a straight desk. Short and long bookshelves hang on the desk’s walls and can be easily rearranged, added, removed, etc. Two large 50x31 cm printer shelves can be mounted.

What can make it attractive for kids are optional shelf doors and 12 V power supply. A door is 2 sheets of transparent plastic, such as Plexiglas. In between the sheets, a kid can put posters, pictures, maps, calendars, etc. etc. A 12V DC power supply with appropriate plugs allows to use all kinds of computer-modding stuff: sound-activated lighting, blinking fans, etc, that can be installed behind the transparent doors or behind perforated desk’s walls.

Technical details: All desk elements except doors are cut from finished 11-14 mm plywood. Vertical elements (desk legs, shelf supports) have hooks that go into vertical slots in the desk walls (Fig. 3). Horizontal elements (desktop, shelves) stick into horizontal slots in the desk walls, locking corresponding vertical elements: a vertical element cannot go up, so it cannon go out of a wall.
