working with pen, ink and pencil i began with the original moleskine logo and reworked it a number of times, first neatly then with wild expressive lines. balancing a classic and recognizable logo with a handmade aesthetic i endeavored to convey the paradoxical qualities of concealment and revelation, intellect, imagination and the tactile evoked by moleskine products. creativity as embodied experience, that's what holding a moleskine notebook is all about, and that's what the moleskinerie site as a daily work in progress might endeavor to convey in digital form.
