MURMUR by sebastien cordoleani from france

designer's own words:

Teenage is a mutation period while we are looking at ourselves and each other development. We almost be adult, we assert our style and share ideas. We wish often to be with our group of friends while we are not emancipated.
Murmur transfigures the mirror. Already symbolizes something strong, the Murmur reinvents the relationship with goods and people. A part of Murmur is consecrate to intimacy, the other become a link with friends.

1. My mirror is a part of my environment. It can receive different decorations, fixed or on movement, according with my feeling.

2. My mirror transfigure my universe
Murmur displays my informatics data in my material universe. Whereas classed file on a screen, I choose objects which compose my room to stock virtually immaterial data: my music, video, movies, etc. The symbolic value of my objects makes them 3d icon.
My favourite’s western movies will be stocked into my cactus, my cartoon’s band into a wood toy, my Holliday’s pictures of Bretagne into a stone founded on a beach, and some secrets into a Boris Vian book.
A patch is stuck up each object. When I put my objects in front of my mirror, it reveals what they contain.

3. My mirror as a window to my friends

Murmur permits to discuss in a Visio with my friends, also everybody can listen to music together, watching a movie together and comment it quasi as if everybody is in the same room while ech one is at his own place.
Murmur will have other function, for example to be a common clock alarm: with my girl friend we used to wake up together with a common favourite song. We can also meet each other to have a coffee before school.
