designer's own words:

Nowadays, a lot of people prefer the bicycle, which is eco-friendly and a good way to get some exercise. Therefore, more and more “bike lanes” are being installed in the roads of Seoul in order to increase the popularity of the bike. Moreover, bicycle rents are available at certain stores.
NAEDAM (the bike) is being set up so that it can be available at any of these rent stores, and the word “naedam” means “go out there powerfully” in Hangul, so the bike is meant to keep the man and nature healthy.
NAEDAM has 13 inch wheels with a minivelo, and is made into a hexagonal shape. If you push up and down the middle part of the hexagonal, the bike can be folded in half. Moreover, for women or elders there is a spring to help fold the bike, which makes it much easier to fold it. Also, the frame of the bike is covered with rubber to prevent slipping when folding and unfolding the bike.
In the middle of the handle bars, there is a small LED monitor that shows the following information: time, calories burnt, distance traveled, and the current velocity. The user can get these information both in the morning and during the night. During the night a LED lamp which is installed in the front of the bike is available; there is another lamp located on the back of the seat, which are all installed to avoid accidents. The classic and simple design is designed for the comfort of the rider.
To avoid the lost of the bike an RFID chip is installed inside the bicycle. The RFID chip allows administrator of the bike to get information on where the bike has traveled and where it’s travelling.
