For years we have been using metal as a material for making door handles, and it is now time to try something else. Urban living have pulled man and nature apart and this handle provide us an opportunity to touch and feel natural materials again. This design uses stone (e.g. granite) and wood (e.g.maple) which gives a fresh image of a door handle. The wooden part is fitted with a magnetic core, so that you can stick your key on to it. When the handle is rotated, a "入" image is formed, symbolising a man walking.
