New Nature

New Nature by K.Terziev from italy

designer's own words:

The Japanese people have long been strongly concerned with nature, and despite their technological progress have always tried to live as a part of their surroundings. With my idea I wanted to translate this ancient tradition of cherishing natural surroundings, but in new context. The message I wanted to incorporate in the textile graphics is simple: All of our cities around the world start to look alike from high up, they look like a strange organisms interacting with the ambience. I think that cities should be more efficient, and rather to look like organism, to become one. After all it would be great if we manage to translate nature values in our everyday environment. Japanese people have long used kimono to reflect the seasons. If you are looking at someone who is wearing kimono properly, then you are looking at someone who is in tune with nature and this is one reason why they seem, "in place."
