designer's own words:

Designed to accommodate all teenagers' sizes and activities, the onda chair system is fun and versatile. Its unique shape allows short and tall teenagers to be equally comfortable. Additionally, its light weight and easily connectable seats allow it to be positioned in various configurations depending on the room size and situation. The material (molded plastic) is easily manufacturable and shippable, reducing costs.
