The increased pollution levels due to heavy consumption of plastic bags, calls for an urgent attention. Keeping social and sustainable design in mind, this is a grocery bag which is designed for the mass market for day-to-day use. The bag is made out of waste newspaper as the core material. What makes it special is its simple construction, that is, basic origami folding of the sheet. It does not require any machinery thereby saving electricity and energy. Once its purpose is fulfilled, it can be discarded as any regular trash without causing further harm to the environment.
