designer's own words:

in an attempt to offer a poetic version of the handle, the following form is generated through a series of folds from a single piece of paper. the assembly of 2 elements (door plate and door lever) creates the illusion of one single folded piece which aligns perfectly when rotated in the ‘open’ position.
