Description:
Sound absorbing eco tile

Dimensions:
240mm x 240mm x 12mm

Application:
Pete’s application is versatile – whether to be used as wall decoration or providing interior soundproofing.
Pete is designed for urban living representing a contemporary design solution to reduce noise pollution particularly prevalent in inner cities. Made from organic material Pete aims to minimize the depletion of natural resources, brining sustainable product design into the home.

Material:
The tile is made from a composition of light peat, a small amount of crushed limestone for a balanced pH and wood fibers to give the tile strength. This composition makes this product organic, sustainable and recyclable, as no other binders are used in the process.
Due to its fibrous nature the final product is strong, lightweight and flexible,
Pete can also be used in moist or damp environment by sealing the tile with a natural shellac to reduce moisture absorption.
The natural properties of this composite material make it a highly effective sound absorber.

Pattern:
Taking inspiration from 1970s fabrics an embossed finish was created to allow for a contemporary yet effective design to disrupt & diffuse sounds waves. Repeating patterns allow for the tile to seamlessly cover any interior surface area.
