Inspired by this season’s fashion trends, “plissé” is a simple and elegant pendant light. A series of display OLED lights are laminated and recessed within each fold of luxury upholstery textile, which is then folded to create a pleated surface. The OLED displays are placed on either side of the pendant. With a simple mechanism and familiar gesture, the light can be dimmed manually while the form of the pendant evolves along the way. The idea can be applied in a number of different arrangements (vertical, horizontal or around any predefined path).

Plissé concept has a great potential to develop into a family of products both for the home and retail environments.

Plissé delicate proportions are highlighting the finest characteristics of OLED: flexibility, slimness and lightness, while the use of fabric as a secondary material is complimenting the warmth and comfort of the close-natural spectral power distribution.

The proposed colour palette draws inspiration from the pastel spectrum but can be customised with different fabric qualities and finishes.
