Pre-Packaged is so-called for it's ready-made quality. In it's former function, it was the carton insert for a rather excessively packaged ink-jet cartridge. Each section of this packaging holds one LED, with the wire to each LED looping under the sections, supplying the next section with electricity. The light from each led is diffused by the thin layer of plastic, and the shapes that the carton has been moulded with affect the quality of light spilling out.
The vac-form carton has been sandwiched in between a frame of mahogony veneered MDF and a small panel of frosted acrylic so can be viewed from both sides.
