designer's own words:

Push Push is a new concept for the entry/lock system.
In contrast to the conventional way of turning a handle,
you push the knob to unlock the door and enter the room.
Once pushed to the other side, the knob is latched,
subsequently locking the door from inside.
Its position tells whether the space is occupied.
Push Push makes perfect sense for a restroom, guest room, study
and other areas wherever you need privacy at home
