designer's own words:

Are tiles merely decorative facades, static and impervious to the animated spaces they juxtapose?

Puzzled?

Puzzled is an animated tiling concept challenging the interrelation of decoration and contemplation by manipulating both. Puzzled surfaces (fashioned on Sam Loyd`s 1870 “Boss Puzzle”) creatively animate in bold decorative display, superficial to the perplexed ingenuity of those attempting to solve the puzzle.

Puzzled is socially interactive and an unsolvable arrangement of tiles nevertheless presents a contemporary backdrop which is sure to be “aesthetically moving”. A number of tiling permutations from wall blanketing to a 4x4 composition provide an adaptable tiling concept infused with bewilderment and interest alike.

Puzzled is a concept and not assigned to any singular tiling material. Whether wood veneered to suit more traditional establishments or injection moulded plastics to attain a range of colour and dynamic properties, which may include detachable tiles for dishwashing, graphic film substitutions or recycling, Puzzled is sure to be a craze.

Are you game?
