designer's own words:

When I started learning Indian classical music as a kid I just couldn't understand it; I found it dull, boring and a waste of time. I gradually
developed an understanding of the practical aspect (singing), but theory was still dry and uninspirational, something that was supposed
to be mugged-up before exams. I talked to others who had learnt Indian classical music and realised that they too had faced similar problems. They knew about the how, but not the why.

I decided to solve this problem and make Indian classical music fun; for people who had learnt it, as well as those who had not. To achieve this I had to research deeper into the subject, which is when I came across the volcano of information that existed and was amazed by the kind of depth Indian musicians and scholars had delved into, to understand and give meaning to music. I tried to amalgamate all these interesting facts and concepts into a single visual. After a lot of collecting, sorting, condensing, uncomlicating and compiling the information, Raag Rang was finally born.
