Raindrops Xylophone

Raindrops Xylophone by Heesung Baek from france

designer's own words:

Have you ever listened mother nature raindrops? The raindrops play an impressive and touching music with trees, leaves, rocks, soils, and mountain streams. How do raindrops sound in our urban environment built with metals, concretes and glasses in major materials? Their sound is sharper and more monotone than in nature.

Raindrop Xylophone purposes a natural serenity in our balcony garden.
It is composed of 3 different types of wooden blocks that have metallic resonance tubes its inside. It allows us to listen various sounds of rain pattering on wood by diverse sizes and thickness of resonance tubes. It also has little pots to let tiny plants take part of this instrument.
With Raindrop Xylophone we could have a tranquil moment, an emotional healing, a mental therapy with peaceful and serene nature music in the middle of our city.
