Shyning

Shyning by eleonora barbareschi from italy

designer's own words:

Shyning is not only a collection of beautiful objects; it is also a statement about manners and eating habits at the table today. How many times have you had the desire to take that salad bit out from your teeth? Or how many times have you been afraid of smiling after eating greens? Using a toothpick is always the best solution but not always the most elegant or chic, especially during elegant dinners. Shyning, with its elegant and at the same time evocative design, is thought to bring toothpicks and the act of cleaning teeth to the dining table in an elegant and beautiful manner. As a primordial gesture, Shyning puts on the table a provocative and embarrassing aspect that is part of the act of eating. With Shyning, guests will finally have nothing to be embarrassed of. Toothpicks are functional tools and for this reason they require an important place at the table, even at elegant dinners, when the dining table is set in a classy manner. By adding Shyning toothpick caps to common wooden or plastic toothpicks, these can be finally placed at the dining table, one for each guest, or at the table in a container as if it were a bunch of silver leaves, decorating the dining table, and happily together with the rest of the tableware. Shyning toothpick caps can also be used during banquets and buffets, for food picking, on either small or large toothpicks, by simply fixing the caps to on one end of the toothpicks.
