solar store

designer's own words:

This handheld filled with solar energy was designed by the motivation of a shoot coming from the seed. The machine resembling a flowerpot was intended to deliver feelings of nature and fresh flowerpot.

‘Solar store’ stores the green-energy from the nature instead of the energy of an outlet by translating flexible ‘dye sensitized solar cell’ to leaf-shaped glass to hold green-energy on sunny days.
The amount of the energy could be seen on a LED located in the front of the machine; all lights of LED will be turned on when the energy is full. This filled-up energy could charge cell phone or MPS using USB at the side of the ‘Solar store’ and the ‘Solar store’ itself charges a battery at the bottom.
The leaves store energy during the day, gather together to take some rest in night and when the sun rises, they open themselves. The similarity of leaves with nature provides an enjoyment, too. This ‘Solar store’ could stand beyond currently existing chargers by making us to think about the nature.
