to create the 'woodwork collection' exhibited at paola c. showroom during milan design week 2012. sculpted from teak and a combination
of other wood, the series focuses on the sharing of food through tableware. all the pieces, whether developed by jain or cibic, are hand-made,
carved from the material, sanded, shaped and engraved. as a finishing touch, the designs are polished with oil.
the collection was produced in a workshop located in the forest south of mumbai where indian craftmen worked together
with international students, architects and designers to manufacture the functional wooden sculptures.
