THE BAILGAADI BOOKSEAT CHAIR™ is a one- of- a kind, original piece. This unique chair is a lovingly salvaged antique. The designer has repaired, repurposed and reupholstered an old wooden bullock cart seat into a modern avatar. The BailGaadi Bookseat chair™ is a comfortable, sturdy chair. It would fit in a smaller space and liven up any room. This piece reflects the designer’s love of all things antique. The old Teak Bullock cart seat is lovingly restored to its former glory and then given a whimsical makeover. It works really well as a book lover’s nook.

Detailing:
The Bullock cart seat was in disrepair. It was repaired and wooden legs were added to make it a chair. Once the piece was structurally sound, it was re polished and the old brass panels on it were repaired and polished too. The chair is upholstered in beautiful, pure silk.
