When there are discussions about paper and it's environmental effects, it is usually associated with trees and deforestation. Starting from this familiar point, I try to create awareness that the problem goes beyond just trees and forests... way too much water, fossil fuels and energy is used in the manufacture of paper aside from trees. I also illustrate just how much we "over-depend" on paper by including factoids on paper use as the roots of the fallen tree. It is an analogy I try to create... over-dependence and apathy as the root of the paper problem.
