The Shell is a novel speaker concept based on the principle of dispersion and focusing of waves. Much like a lens, soundwaves from a tiny speaker are projected onto a surface and bundled towards a specific point in space. The resulting location-based audio allows sound to be directed towards one person while others remain undisturbed. The form takes visual cues from a seashell, also a symbol of personal soundscapes and tranquility.
