Voice of Xmas (Christmas)

Voice of Xmas (Christmas) by David Toth from czech republic

designer's own words:

The "Voice of Xmas" is an unique Christmas ornament made from the human voice. Sounds crazy? How it works?
A person says a word linked to Christmas in his native language - his voice is then recorded using a recording software that is able to convert it into a sound wave (audio wave). Later on, by using a rotation a 3D printable object is created, which represents an original code, which expresses part of the personality, voice and national habits of the person. The object can be used as a decoration or hanged on the Christmas tree as it has similar shape to Christmas tree drops.
To create the objects, you could use some of the free open-source recording software to obtain the sound wave, and a 3D printer which could be part of the installation. The main object could be 3 different sized "Voice of Xmas" objects, representing three words related to Christmas and a video presentation of people from different parts of the world - saying Merry Christmas in their native language - which is most of the time all different, but they unite in the one and original styling of those unique objects based on the sound of the voice.
