designer's own words:

void’s design was inspired by the impact extrusion manufacturing process. the shape is sculpted to use less material and still be ergonomic, sleek and modern. furthermore the concave inner creates interesting refractions of light and reflections. the materials chosen compliment the shape but with enough range to appeal to the majority of consumers.
