JDAP has designed a new cultural facility at the foothills of the bukhasan mountain in the pyeongchang-dong neighbourhood of seoul. the seoul arts complex is a comprehensive public arts facility, within a region which holds several smaller galleries under private ownership that would serve both the local community as well as the larger city as a place for exhibiting, experiencing, archiving, and learning. designed as part of a recent international competition, the project site is dispersed across four disparate pieces of land separated by roads on steep sloping terrain and has as its main constituents a library, permanent and temporary exhibition halls, workshop spaces, archives and a multipurpose hall.
