buenos aires-based designer, cristian mohaded, has developed the ‘cabeza’ a set of bowls and vases in wood and nylon, which are on show at the museo de arte latinoamericano de buenos aires (malba) for furniture company la feliz. the collection comes in different sizes and can be combined in many ways. they are part of a new sensory project which takes the texture of the filament as the structure and a platform for designing the objects. the pieces can be stationary, a fruit-holder as well as a simple a vessel. the collection is intended to be flexible, while giving the product movement as well as stiffness, making it easy to be constructed for a skin product line. the containers unify the lenga wood and the plastic, enhancing the idea of material opposition and texture.
