milan-based designer cristiano mino has developed ‘micol lamp’ which was on show during milan design 2012. he was awarded first prize by the campana brothers and alexander von vegesack, founder and director of the vitra design museum for this participation in the homeless design 2012 competition. the project originates from a the concept that the piece has the ability to be self-produced with very few resources. the light is constructed from a single concrete brick, several wooden planks and a sheet of recycled plastic.
