unique exhibition pavilion for a facade distributor

the unique exhibition pavilion for the swissbau basel is made from specially processed concrete panels that looks like crumpled paper.
boris egli from swiss architecture studio L3P developed the concept for the trade fair stand.working on the principle that ‘a journey makes us appreciate space’ the concession was closed from the outside – producing a mysterious exterior atmosphere  for the passers-by. the wafer-thin panels take visitors on a journey through various types of facade. ‘we decided to cover the outer shell for the pavilion with fibreC glassfibre concrete panels from rieder, in order to showcase the characteristics of the material and the exciting design possibilities’, says egli.
