‘vehbi koç vakfı koç primary school’ by erginoglu & calislar

designed by turkish architects erginoglu & calislar, the ‘vehbi koç vakfı koç primary school’ is a an educational facility  that connects to a grassy landscape on all four sides with a sloped roof. envisioned as the focal point of the site, a water sports centre is incorporated as a pacesetter for the quality of future buildings and thus strives to contribute towards the architectural development of the campus. in order not to compete with the surrounding domiciles  in terms of height, the edifice is partly embedded in the ground where an inverted dome is attached to the structure offering green space and fields to double as an outdoor sports area.

with its framework simultaneously perceived as a sculptural object, the landscape is strengthened with its reflective exterior, making it distinct from the neighboring buildings.
