‘foundation’ by greg papove

vancouver-based designer greg papove has created a laptop stand that addresses the increasing, and sometimes unnecessary, portability of objects. the computer has become a very easily transporable item, going from home to work, to the cafe and anywhere in between. this storage unit acts as a dedicated place to keep your computer within your home, taking influence from housing foundations and formwork similar to full-scale housing construction. made from concrete, the holder juxtaposes modern technology, helping keep your computer cool to prevent overheating. it fits a thirteen inch macbook, and has underground parking for an external hard-drive, with places for an ipod and cellular phone.
