The Rockable, visually inspired by a midwife’s stethoscope and the stamen of a flower. A functional as well as a visual pleasure! A break from everything serious and mercantile.
Rockable was invented during a competition in 1999, entitled “Planken ud” (Walk the Plank). A plank was transformed to a stool, now produced by Orebo. 37 staves, each equipped with a turned knob, are driven into a circular foot, thus creating a convex seat for a 43 cm high stool that slightly rocks.
