ibla luminary office pendant by park associati

milan-based park associates have designed ibla, a pendant luminaire produced by zumtobel for the interior office spaces of the new international headquarters of salewa in bolzano. the light, obtained using a single shell of white corian recalls the sinous and delicate forms of origami. the housing’s contours are obtained by three-dimensional thermoforming, so that each enclosure is one of a kind. when combined with special bonding, this acrylic-based mineral material also offers the possibility of seamlessly incorporating a micro-pyramidal optic in the housing without any visible fasteners. a reflection-intensifying coating on its internal surface, helps achieve further efficiency requirements.
