‘onesize.’ is the result of the cooperation between mrsmith studio-milan and calzificio mario re depaolini s.p.a., an historical italian hosiery located a few kilometers outside milan.
the company hired mrsmith studio to design radically new collection of men’s print socks, completely involving them in the definition of the concept, the choice of the yarns and colour palette, patterns, product image and packaging.
mrsmith aimed to obtain an industrial-dandy effect on the everyday accessory, building it inspiring to the world of ties and pocket-squares, through translating its iconography in a more graphical and contemporary way, focusing the attention on the details
the core of the project is the development of the ‘onesize’ shape of the sox, in order to optimize storage, catalogue and logistics whilst the choice of print process results in a high standardized and efficient volume of production
