a simple 14-sq-m wood structure encourages passerbys to dive into the idyllic french countryside, stopping to paint the walls along the way. called plongeoir, the miniature piloti house by spray architecture ascends upwards as the walls appear to fall away; a semi-transparent façade welcomes sunshine inside. the stilts are intended to limit the environmental impact, creating a resemblance to piloti fishing houses while simultaneously immersing visitors in nature. people are encouraged to adapt and contribute to the space, using ‘graffitecture’ to transform the appearance each day. selected artists – including antistatik, THTF and INjustice – were invited to add their marks to the piece. within days the exterior was transformed with angular, frenetic dashes of colour that invite visitors into the spatial fabric of the intervention.
