‘the eco DIY collection’ by eduardo alessi

‘the eco DIY collection’ by designer eduardo alessi is a series of products that use recycled cardboard as structural material. cut from a single sheet paper to save material for production, each of the five different endangered species of animals are conceived from a flat two-dimensional pattern.  intended as a DIY assembly, the user simply follows the instructions on the packaging: fold the paper along the notches and impressed creases applied on the paper, no glue, cutting or other instruments are required.

with some of them developed as electronic-based products, the energy efficient devices can be utilized without using batteries. its thick-stock characteristics and flat architecture result in being lightweight, allowing for the products to be easily flat-packed for transportation purposes.
