‘albedo’ by toshihito okura exhibiting at tokyo designer’s week 2012

developed in collaboration with a balloon craftsman yoshitaka suzuki, japanese designer toshihito okura has conceived a series of lighting items without the use of ubiquitous construction sources such as steel, wood or glass. instead, the blow-up LED lamps reflect the aesthetic of a glowing moon with its translucent choice of material.
