‘tsao residence – room partitions’ by KC design studio

taiwan-based KC design studio has introduced the concept of using two rotatable partitions to divide four spaces into one open-plan area in this renovated taipei apartment by chun-ta tsao. the rotatable TV- partition can be configured in different angles, functioning within the living room and kitchen.

adding square-footage to dining area or living area by simply rotating the object. dark timber is used for the flooring to make three light-color objects standing out, presented as different height between each connected object. the center object is actually a big bookshelf, which divides the study room and bedroom. using sliding doors provides privacy when needed. the part of bookshelf can be moved to study room, transforming both two rooms into the master bedroom.
