these basic forms, through splitting and bending operations show infinite possibilities of sewing on a space, embracing full functions, occupying a floor, a ceiling a wall or corners. conceived by lebanese designer marc dibeh and marc baroud for artfactum gallery, the exhibit challenges minimal design by using a simple steel thread, shaped into square, triangle, rectangle or diamond. ‘wires’ questions classic craftsman techniques, by bisecting steel rods, hand plowing sand moulds, polishing sand cast aluminum shapes and scraping powder coatings.
