the name yumaki comes from the first yumaki prototype ever made. warm and coming straight from the mold, transparent with the clean and straight (yet wavy) shape of the handle it resembled a small wavy volume of water. this model got the working title “yu-maki” by the japanese manufacturers which stayed during the whole development process and was later adopted to become the master brand it is today.
