FOGLIA (meaning a leaf in Italian) was the first design every created by SUGO and perhaps the most groundbreaking and unique in our collection with lots of sentimental memories. It all started over 10 years ago when founder Kevin Chu got lost in a backpacking trip to central Thailand and there, he witnesses the ethereal color transformation of the banana plant under different lighting conditions based on weather and time changes. In awe of the seemingly surrealistic bombardment of shapes and colors he decided that one day he needs to create a design object from this experience. FOGLIA was born in 2011 as the firs itineration and  after many years of improvement and alterations, the final production came to life in 2018 with world first magnetic interchangeable acrylic screen system adapted to the design by our Italian research laboratory. This makes FOGLIA has the infinite customization ability unseen in the lighting industry and you become the creator. The LIBELLULA version is inspired by the beautiful structure of the dragonfly wing and each of the acrylic screens takes over 3 hours to be laser engraved as each of the pattern is extremely intricate and all in non-repetitive geometry. The mathematical analyzed grooves absorb any indirect light and creates a highly unique suppressive area glowing design never seen before in the lighting industry.

All SUGO creations are integrated with the world most advance Photocatalytic Technology that can permanently eliminate all strands of Corona Virus | Bacteria | Industrial Pollutants in just 60mins and activated only with natural light and circulating air. Our technology is tested and endorsed by NASA, National Aeronautics and Space Administration of USA and is effective for a minimum period of 5 Years!
