4-in-1: chela mask holder + necklace + choker + bracelet
by Maddalena Bearzi Jewelry from US
We live in unusual times that call for out-of-the-ordinary, versatile jewelry. The handmade “chela” is just that: it’s the mask holder you were looking for, the choker with a boho twist, the elegant long necklace, and the bold wrapped bracelet.
A lobster claw (“chela di aragosta” in the language of the Italian designer) influenced the design of this 4-in-1 distinctive piece with earthy colors. Twenty percent of the revenue will be donated to DirectRelief to fight COVID-19.
Length: adjustable. Materials: Japanese silk wrapped in silk combined with hand-hammered, brushed brass.A slightly thinner version of this one-of-a-kind accessory (“chela sottile”) is available here. Other handmade jewelry by this designer – such as the Aria, Pianeta and Terra collections or her innovative one of a kind pieces – can be found in her online shop.
Each piece is handmade, unique, unisex and wearable in at least four different ways.
Maddalena Bearzi organic-looking and handcrafted jewelry is inspired by the magnificent natural world around us, a world to not only appreciate but also protect. Using methods and often upcycled materials that avoid depleting or destroying the Earth’s resources, her pieces exemplify that style and sustainability go hand in hand.

STYLE MEETS SUSTAINABILITY IN ONE OF A KIND CREATIONS - A deep respect for nature, a passion for the discovery of different cultures, textures, and materials, and a commitment to ethical and environmentally-friendly practices are at the heart of this handmade, unique jewelry line. Maddalena Bearzi began making jewelry by joining sustainable textiles with distinctive elements such as repurposed metals, upcycled vintage charms, and natural stones, to reveal unique and texturized pieces. Textile-based creations have expanded to a focus on one of a kind, organic metal jewelry. Each piece is individually handcrafted. Take a look at her work at www.maddalenabearzi.com.
