akasaki vanhuyse is a london-based design studio established in 2022 by japanese architect/designer kenta akasaki and french designer astrid vanhuyse. merging perspectives of architecture and industrial design, they work on a variety of projects including innovation, product, furniture, space and research. they focus on purpose-driven projects creating thoughtful, creative and long-lasting solutions for clients like ligne roset, h concept, london festival of architecture, panasonic, dame and goodhome. recent works present furniture made from waste materials, public pavilions, future vision projects, curation for a pre-owned design boutique and sustainable alternatives for products such as diy tools, luggage and appliances.
