Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999) was a French architect and designer whose work connected modernist design with everyday life, social ideals, and the possibilities of industrial production. She first gained recognition with her machine-age furniture and joined Le Corbusier’s studio in 1927, where she worked alongside him and Pierre Jeanneret on furniture and interiors.
