originally designed by georgetto giugiaro and launched in 1981, the DeLorean DMC 12 was - and still is - seen as a forward-looking car, amazing onlookers with its stainless steel body panels and gull-wing doors. the vehicle's design grew to fame as a time machine in the back to the future films from 1985.
