new museum is a leading destination for art and ideas in new york city, intended as a home for contemporary art and an incubator for new ideas, as well as an architectural contribution to the urban landscape. exclusively devoted to presenting contemporary art from around the world, new museum is led by artistic director massimiliano gioni. the building has been designed by tokyo-based architects kazuyo sejima and ryue nishizawa/SANAA an eight-level structure located at 235 bowery between stanton and rivington streets.
